Piotr Nowicki

CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

Entrepreneur, collector, husband and father. Originator and founder of Nowicki.Art Foundation, responsible for its development and the implementation of projects connected with contemporary art. In his work, he combines business experience with a commitment to culture.
He collaborates with artists, collectors, business partners and cultural institutions, supporting initiatives that promote contemporary art and strengthen its presence in the public sphere. He is particularly devoted to the idea of the gallery as an open place – a space for meetings, conversation, education and engagement with art – both for collectors and for those who are only beginning their journey with contemporary art.

FOUNDER

Founder of Nowicki.Art Foundation, wife and mother of four. She supports the development of the gallery as well as the positive organisational spirit, providing guidance on organisational, financial and administrative matters.
She combines a practical approach with great attention to detail, helping to establish stable and well-organised foundations for the gallery’s activities. Her commitment, responsibility and sensitivity provide important support for projects undertaken by the Foundation and contribute to building the gallery as an open, welcoming and thoughtfully created space.

MARKETING SPECIALIST / GRAPHIC DESIGNER

A graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, where she specialised in graphic design. As a graphic designer and marketing specialist, she is responsible for the visual communication, branding and promotional activities of Nowicki.Art Foundation.
Her interests include architecture, poster design and illustration. Her poster Yuki-onna was selected for the International Exhibition of the Student Poster Confrontations in Tarnów, showcasing outstanding works by emerging artists from Poland and abroad.

Mazur

LAWYER

A German studies graduate and qualified lawyer, currently completing her legal training as a trainee legal adviser. She keeps both feet firmly on the ground while always seeing the glass as half full. She thrives in a dynamic environment – new projects, challenges and ambitious tasks are what energise her. She does not like to remain in one place for too long, as her best ideas often come when she is on the move. Combining an analytical mind with a proactive approach, she treats every obstacle as another task to solve rather than a problem. She values personal growth, enjoys learning and readily embraces new challenges, knowing that this is often where something truly interesting begins.

Izdebska

SOCIOLOGIST

Associate professor at the University of Szczecin. Her research interests include contemporary art, particularly public and socially engaged art practices. She is the author of the books Space and Place in Artistic Practice: A Sociological Case Study (Szczecin, 2015) and Public Art – From Objects to Post-Artistic Practices: A Sociological Bricolage (Warsaw, 2021). She has also edited and co-edited several collective publications devoted to the sociology of art, including Art Beyond Institutions? The Artist in Public Space (Szczecin, 2017), Social Contexts of Contemporary Creative Activity (Szczecin, 2019) and The Social Dimension of Design (Warsaw, 2021), as well as publishing scholarly articles in Polish and international academic journals. She is deeply interested in the dynamics of urban culture, including its grassroots forms. At NAF, she is responsible for creating an open forum for exchanging ideas, experiences and inspiration, as well as organising discussions on the relationship between contemporary art and current social and cultural phenomena.
